Father of FSU draft hopeful WR Travis Rudolph killed in firearms accident
This week should be one of the best weeks of Travis Rudolph’s life, unfortunately, that won’t be the case. Tragedy has hit the Rudolph family as Rudolph’s father Darryl has been killed in an apparent accident.
According to the Palm Beach County police, Darryl Rudolph, 55, was killed by a firearm that discharged from another room while being removed from a wall.

Rudolph left school early to enter the 2017 NFL Draft. In his FSU career, Rudolph caught 153 passes for 2,311 yards and 18 touchdowns. Rudolph made headlines last offseason after joining a young autistic boy for lunch when noticing the boy did not have any company at school. The boy’s mother publicly thanked Rudolph and the two remained in contact following the lunch.
