Fired radio host tweets apology to Maria Taylor after criticizing her Monday Night Football outfit

On Monday night, ESPN’s top college football crew — Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler and Maria Taylor — called a Week 1 Monday Night Football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.
Taylor’s outfit caused one Chicago radio host to take a cheap shot at her, saying she looked more suited for the adult film awards show. In the ensuing backlash from that comment, the host was fired from his job.
The host, Dan McNeil, had yet to issue any sort of apology via Twitter, but that changed on Sunday. You can see his apology below:
I apologize, @MariaTaylor, for the harsh critique of your outfit on MNF. Going for a quick laugh, I failed conclusively. Best of luck — you're terrific. #GoneFishin

Taylor has yet to respond to the apology. She worked the Miami-Louisville game with the ESPN college football crew on Saturday night.
