FIU reveals absolutely stunning Miami Vice-themed uniforms

FIU is busting out an extravagant uniform combination this month, and the Panthers officially unveiled the getup Thursday night.

Dubbed the “Vice U” combination, the uniform pays homage to Miami Vice and a color combination associated with the popular show. The combination is all-white head to toe with white helmets, cleats, pants and jerseys featuring light blue numbers outlined in pink.

Those two bright colors are intertwined throughout the combination, including “Panthers” on the front in pink with pink names on the back. Meanwhile, a pink middle helmet stripe surrounded by 2 blue stripes features palm frond print throughout.

The helmet also features “Vice U” in hot pink on top of the light blue background to go with additional palm frond accents throughout. The uniform also features an FIU speedboat logo, and to make things even better, the unveiling video was shot with 4 FIU players on a speedboat out on the water.

It’s a picture-perfect combination and setting for the Miami-based program, and one that now plays its home games in Pitbull Stadium. Fans will be able to see the uniforms during on Oct. 22 game at 7:30 pm ET on ESPNU.
