Derrick Brown, one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia, has named his five finalists. All of them are SEC schools.

On Sunday, Brown narrowed his list of schools to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Tennessee. He did not say whether or not he had a favorite among the five. He plans to visit each school.

Brown is a 6-foot-4, 320-pound defensive tackle from Lanier High School in Buford, Ga. Rivals rates him the No. 3 defensive tackle in the country, and the No. 26 player overall. Scout ranks him the No.5 defensive tackle and the No. 21 player overall. He will compete in the U.S. Army All-America Game in January.

Last season, Brown had 101 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, and 17.5 sacks as a junior, and helped Lanier go 10-0 in the regular season.

Brown plans to visit Mississippi State (the school that both of his parents attended) on Nov. 28. He will make his visit to Alabama on one of the first two weekends in December. He’ll go to Georgia on Jan. 15, Auburn on Jan. 22 and Tennessee on Jan. 29.
