Last weekend’s game between Florida and LSU in Gainesville was canceled due to Hurricane Matthew.
With neither team having a common open date, there were questions as to whether the game would indeed be rescheduled.
On Thursday, this situation was remedied. LSU will now host Florida on Nov. 19. The Tigers will presumably reschedule their game versus South Alabama. Jim McElwain’s team will do the same in its clash against Presbyterian.
Since LSU will host this year’s game, they will travel to Florida for games in ’17 and ’18.
Florida will visit LSU on Nov. 19, source confirms to @ESPN. LSU will then visit Florida in 2017 & 2018

However, former Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley didn’t sound too pleased as to how this entire ordeal played out:

It appears as if LSU wasn’t completely easy to deal with as the two programs worked to figure out the logistics of the game.
The SEC offered some other solutions and LSU administration made it clear that they were unwilling to consider other reasonable options.”-JF

As it currently stands, Florida will now be playing on the road in Baton Rouge — before finishing the season against in-state rival Florida State in Tallahassee.
