Florida adds commitment from 4-star in-state defensive lineman

In-state defensive lineman and 4-star prospect Gavin Hill has committed to Billy Napier and the Florida Gators.
The news broke Saturday that Hill would be staying home and will represent Florida’s first defensive line commit for the 2023 class. EDGE Isaiah Nixon remains the Gators’ top prospect of the 2023 class, with Hill coming at second highest rated per 247 Sports.

Hill chose the Gators over Auburn, Duke and Georgia Tech. Florida offered Hill after a camp in the middle of June, and Hill made his commitment decision less than two weeks later.
Hill is considered to be the No. 38 defensive lineman in the country, as well as the No. 54 player from the state of Florida.
