For Florida fans, there couldn’t have been a better way to ring in the new year than how it handled Iowa in the Outback Bowl, 30-3.
After falling behind early by a field goal, the Gators were able to score 30 unanswered, limiting opposing quarterback C.J. Beathard to 7-of-23 pass attempts (30.4 percent) with 55 yards and three interceptions.
Florida (9-4) enters the offseason on a high note, finishing with nine wins or more in consecutive years for the first time since 2008-09.
