Florida and FSU have officially combined for the worst start in decades as Miami stands out as the clear-cut best team in the state.

Per ESPN, this is the first time since 1955 that Florida and Florida State both have losing records after 3 games:

Florida opens the season at 1-2 with its latest loss coming in the form of a 33-20 fall at home to the Texas A&M Aggies and Florida State is 0-3 after losing 20-12 to Memphis. The Seminoles were expect to be one of the nation’s best teams in 2024 after edging their way into the College Football Playoff  in 2023, while this was a make-or-break year for Billy Napier at Florida.

At this point, it looks like both Napier and Norvell are on the hot seat as neither have met the expectations. Florida, especially, is playing far below where the standard is set for the Gators in the SEC.

Florida State will host Cal in Week 4 while Florida gets Mississippi State on the road this weekend.
