According to a report from FootballScoop.com, Florida coach Jim McElwain has hired former UCF player and graduate assistant Joshua Linam to his staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
New UCF coach Scott Frost had retained Linam to his first staff in Orlando this past January.
In 2014, Linam coached linebackers for Huntingdon College. The Hawks produced a 7-3 record with him on staff.
During his playing days with the Knights, Linam racked up 165 tackles in 50 career games. As a junior in 2010, he delivered 78 tackles before racking up 66 with 10.0 tackles for loss as a senior captain. The middle linebacker also finished his career with three interceptions and three forced fumbles.
Linam suited up for the San Diego Chargers and then the Miami Dolphins in the summer of 2012.
