Florida received quality recruiting news Friday when four-star defensive end Zachary Carter, a top 100 defensive prospect, announced his commitment via Twitter.
Carter, from Tampa, has impressive size with his 6-foot-4, 250-pound build. 247Sports rates Carter as the No. 4 strong-side defensive end and the No. 97 player overall for the class of 2017. Clemson, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M also had interest, among many others.

“Florida boy forever” is no subtle hint about Carter’s feelings for the Gators and his home state. He could fulfill a childhood dream in Gainesville.
