Florida provides update on status of Keyontae Johnson ahead of 2021-22 season

Florida forward Keyontae Johnson collapsed on the floor during a game against Florida State this past season.
Fortunately, after the scary incident, Johnson was able to return to the sidelines and root on his teammates the rest of the year, serving as basically an extra coach.
As the 2021-22 season approaches, Johnson’s status is still in doubt. On Tuesday, college basketball insider Jon Rothstein revealed that a Florida spokesperson said Johnson has yet to be cleared to return:
Florida's Keyontae Johnson has still not been cleared for any physical activity, per a school spokesman. Johnson averaged 16 PPG and 4.5 RPG in four games last season before collapsing on December 12th against Florida State.

Obviously, the Gators are going to take things slow with the star player, who was the preseason SEC Player of the Year last year. Hopefully he’ll be able to return, but at this point, doctors have yet to clear him.
