Del Rio has been out the past three games due to a shoulder injury. Purdue transfer Austin Appleby has been the starter in his absence, and was projected to lead the Gators versus the Crimson Tide in Atlanta.
Could this be a major curveball hurled at Alabama? Or, is this just Del Rio loosening up for a reserve role behind Appleby?
