Florida has set a homecoming date for the 2023 season. UF will hold homecoming festivities in Gainesville the week of Oct. 7 when the Gators host Vanderbilt.

For the first time since 2014, Vandy is a revenge game for the Gators in 2023. The Commodores defeated UF 31-24 in Nashville last season for just their second win over the Gators since 1989.

The Vanderbilt loss was the start of a 3-game losing skid to end Florida’s 2022 season, the first under Billy Napier. The Gators dropped the regular-season finale 45-38 to FSU and lost to Oregon State 30-3 in the Las Vegas Bowl to finish the 2022 campaign with a 6-7 record.

UF’s 2023 season begins on Thursday, Aug. 31 at Utah, the defending Pac-12 champion. The Vanderbilt game is part of a 4-game stretch against SEC East opponents from Sept. 30 (at Kentucky) to Oct. 28 (vs. Georgia in Jacksonville).

Florida will hold its annual spring scrimmage, the Orange and Blue Game, on Thursday, April 13 (7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network+).
