Florida State band trolls Cuonzo Martin for Tennessee during Nashville NCAA Tournament appearance
Tennessee fans owe a tip of the cap to the Florida State band.
Cuonzo Martin’s return to the Volunteer State this week was certainly an unpleasant one. Making matters worse, for some reason, the Florida State band added a little extra salt to the wound during Missouri’s brief visit to Nashville for the NCAA Tournament.
After dominating the first half of the Round 1 NCAA Tournament game against Mizzou, Florida State cruised to a big 67-54 win that ended the Tigers’ basketball season in a hurry. While Martin likely assumed few, if any, connection to his Tennessee days would be brought up during his team’s Nashville visit, he would have been wrong.
With victory in hand, Florida State’s band played “Rocky Top” to mock Martin during the second half of the contest:
Here in Nashville with Florida State up on Missouri by two touchdowns late, Florida State band just played “Rocky Top.” Yeah.

Martin just can’t seem to avoid his ugly divorce from Tennessee and thanks to the FSU band, that lesson was reiterated once again this week in Nashville.
