Florida State needed just under 4 minutes to score the opening points of the 2024 college football season.

The 10th-ranked Seminoles went 75 yards on their opening drive to score against Georgia Tech. DJ Uiagalelei completed both of his passes for 17 yards. Alabama transfer Roydell Williams picked up 18 yards on 2 rushing attempts. And Lawrance Toafili closed out the drive with a 28-yard rushing score.

But rather than kick the extra point, FSU busted out the Swinging Gate to put 2 more points on the board.

Georgia Tech answered right back with a scoring drive of its own. Haynes King hit a 42-yard pass. The Yellow Jackets went 79 yards in 6 plays to score. Zach Pyron capped the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run.

The Seminoles and Yellow Jackets are playing in a Week 0 ACC contest on ESPN.
