Florida State sets emergency meeting of Board of Trustees, expected to discuss future in ACC

Florida State has set a meeting that will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. The meeting, which was reportedly not on the docket until early Thursday, is expected to pertain to the athletic program and its relationship with the ACC moving forward.
According to a report from Ross Dellenger, the Board of Trustees hope to produce litigation for a potential exit strategy from the ACC’s Grant-of-Rights.

As of now, a legal document ensures that Florida State cannot separate from bindings between them, the ACC and ESPN for TV rights until the 2035-36 season.
Back in August Florida State threatened that they would need to seriously consider leaving the conference without a “radical change in revenue distribution.”
