Florida will see one of its top remaining targets on the defensive side of the football come off the board soon.

Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney cornerback Teddy Foster will reveal his college commitment on Friday, July 14. He’ll choose between Florida, Miami, and North Carolina. He took official visits to Florida (June 16) and North Carolina (June 9) last month.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Foster is a 3-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s viewed as the No. 105 recruit from the state of Florida and the No. 67 cornerback in the class. Overall, he sits at No. 757 in the national player rankings.

Florida assistant Corey Raymond is leading the charge on Foster’s recruitment, and the buzz heading into decision day suggests he has the Gators positioned well. Florida has a pair of Crystal Ball predictions in its favor from 247Sports.

As a junior last fall, Foster played both ways as a receiver and a defensive back. He was credited with 38 tackles, 9 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions on defense while bringing in 17 receptions for 242 yards and three scores on offense. He posted 26 tackles, 6 pass breakups, and a forced fumble as a sophomore during the 2021 campaign.
