D’antre Robinson has found a new home.

On Saturday morning, the Florida transfer committed to play for Bill Belichick at North Carolina. Robinson announced the commitment with the help of On3’s Hayes Fawcett and confirmed it in a social media post of his own.

Robinson leaves Florida after 1 season as a true freshman contributor. It is not his first time changing teams.

A former 247Sports Composite 4-star recruit out of Orlando (Florida) Jones High School, Robinson signed with Texas. After the Longhorns saw defensive line coach Bo Davis leave for LSU, Robinson asked to be released. He then signed with UF in January 2024.

Robinson, listed at 6-3 and 303 pounds on UF’s spring 2025 roster, made 11 appearances for the Gators in the 2024 campaign. He recorded 17 total tackles, including 7 solo stops, 3 TFLs and 1.5 sacks. Robinson also had a fumble recovery and a QB hurry.

Robinson came on strong at the end of his freshman season. He logged his season-high of 27 snaps in the regular-season finale. He then made his first-career start in the Gasparilla Bowl, logging 3 solo tackles in Florida’s win over Tulane.

The transfer process went quickly for Robinson. He entered the portal on Thursday afternoon.
