In the moments after Georgia had defeated Notre Dame 23-17 in a game that went down to the wire, Fighting Irish players were treated to a classy gesture from Bulldogs fans in Sanford Stadium.

As Irish players left Dooley Field to head into the locker room, UGA fans seated above the tunnel applauded them. The display of sportsmanship was captured in a brief video (below) by Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated:

This makes two weeks in a row that Georgia fans have impressed UGA’s opponent with class and sportsmanship. Notre Dame obviously earned the respect of UGA fans. Brian Kelly’s squad came into Athens a double-digit underdog and took the game down to the final minute, even leading 10-7 at the half.
