Former Alabama DB Trey Amos reveals SEC transfer destination

Former Alabama DB Trey Amos is leaving Tuscaloosa but he will not go far for his next destination.
Friday evening, Amos announced on social media that he is heading to Ole Miss to play for Lane Kiffin in 2024. The veteran defensive back played one season for the Crimson Tide in a rotational role.

Prior to the 2023 season, Amos played 3 seasons in the Sun Belt for Louisiana. He has 18 career pass breakups and finished tied for 3rd on Alabama with 5 pass breakups last season.
Amos received a 4-star transfer rating per 247 Sports. He joins former Tennessee defensive back Brandon Turnage as a transfer defensive back to commit to Ole Miss on Friday.
Impact of Amos’ decision
247 Sports rated Amos as the 9th available cornerback in the portal. Though serving in a rotational role with the Tide, he delivered 2 pass breakups in the SEC Championship and another in the Rose Bowl loss to Michigan.
The additions of Turnage and Amos bring Ole Miss up to 15 total transfer commitments in the cycle. That group is ranked the top transfer class in the country per 247 Sports.
