Former Alabama OL re-entering transfer portal after season at FSU

TJ Ferguson looks to be on the move again. The former Alabama offensive lineman has decided to enter the transfer portal again after spending last season at Florida State.
Ferguson’s agency shared the news with Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports/247Sports.
The 6-foot-4, 330-pound Ferguson’s starts for FSU last year came at left guard. He previously played in 12 games with one start at guard for Alabama in 2023.

He was a Class of 2021 top-55 overall recruit and ranked as the second-best interior o-line prospect in that class.
Ferguson was a sought-after prospect coming out of Peach County (Georgia) High School in the 2021 recruiting class. He was rated 4-stars, the No. 2 inside offensive lineman and No. 58 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite.
Alabama signed Ferguson in 2021. Ferguson spent 3 seasons with the Crimson Tide, playing off the bench in 2022 and making the first start of his career in 2023.
Florida State landed Ferguson out of the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He played in 11 games for the Seminoles last season, making 7 starts.
Experienced linemen, especially those with Power 4 conference experience, tend to be sought-after players in the transfer portal. We’ll see what’s next for Ferguson as he enters his redshirt senior season, his final year of eligibility.
