Former Alabama star WR Tyrone Prothro lands coaching job at Alabama high school

A couple of years ago, the Carolina Panthers hired former Alabama star WR Tyrone Prothro as an intern coach for their training camp.
On Thursday, the ex-Crimson Tide receiver, who had his playing career cut short by a horrific leg injury in a game vs. Florida, landed a new job.
According to a release from Jasper High School in Alabama, Prothro will join the Jasper Vikings’ staff as a receivers coach. Head coach Bryan Moore is thrilled to have the former Alabama great on his staff:
“Tyrone Prothro is first and foremost a great man and secondly a great coach,” he said. “Obviously, his story stretches beyond sports and is an inspiration to many. We are certain that his character and integrity will be an incredible asset to the Jasper Football Program and community. We are so excited that he will join our Viking family!”
It’s great to see Prothro back around the game of football, and his story will indeed inspire the Vikings.
