Some players are partying in the off-season. Some are spending time with family. Some are relaxing on a beach.

But some former Alabama stars are giving back in big ways.

Heisman trophy winner Derrick Henry joined former Lions RB Barry Sanders at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas to spend time with the children in February.

The SouthWest Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center provides emergency assistance to families in the Atlanta area, and in honor of leap year, the organization challenged people to so big things with their extra 24 hours. Falcons WR Julio Jones was among those who answered the call.

Saints RB Mark Ingram was one of the many athletes who gave assistance and support to Justin Forsett in response to the flint water crisis.

The Center for Respite Care is an organization that provides medical care to the homeless. Bengals CB Dre Kirkpatrick serves as an honorary chairperson for the center.

Eagles C Barrett Jones spent a week traveling through South Africa and spreading the gospel. Jones has also led mission trips in Nicaragua and Haiti in the past.

Jaguars LS Carson Tinker helped out Pit Sisters, which is an organization that provides a safe place for pit bulls and other dogs that are judged by their tough appearance.
