Small hands for a quarterback are a big deal at the NFL Scouting Combine. Unfortunately for former Arkansas QB Brandon Allen, his don’t measure up very well.

So what can he do about it? Just make them bigger, of course.

According to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports, Allen has spent time — two times a week to be exact — with a massage therapist in an attempt to increase his thumb-to-pinkie measurement.

“It’s obviously something I can’t control,” said Allen, who stressed that the time with the masseuse is “to maybe get another 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch here or there because the muscles in my hands were really tight and this can loosen them up. I have long fingers.

“It’s worth a shot.”

The thought behind a larger hand is that it makes it easier to grip and throw in harsh conditions. However, Allen only fumbled four times while losing one last season with the Razorbacks.
