Former Auburn coach likely to be named ECU head coach this weekend

According to witn.com, East Carolina University is almost ready to name its new coach, and it will do so in a press conference on Saturday.
Ruffin McNeil was fired from his head coaching position for the Pirates last week.
Former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik is one of the favorites for the position, and according to auburn.247sports.com, Chizik has already interviewed with East Carolina.
Chizik has been the defensive coordinator of the Tar Heels this year after he was fired by Auburn following the 2012 season.
