Former Auburn linebacker Chandler Wooten is reportedly being released by the Arizona Cardinals according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, but it may not be a long-term move.
According to the same report, if Wooten clears waivers, he will be brought back on to the team’s practice squad after putting on a strong preseason showing. Despite the talent Wooten brings to the table, the Cardinals are absolutely stacked at linebacker between Isaiah Simmons, Zaven Collins, Nick Vigil, Tanner Vallejo and Zeke Turner, but there could be an opportunity for the former undrafted rookie to develop and rise through the ranks in time.
