Selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2018 National Football League Draft, former Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 16.

Making his Steelers debut vs. the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Fitzpatrick rewarded Pittsburgh with an immediate return on their investment by intercepting 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the first quarter.

Below is a video of the play:

His third interception at the professional level, Fitzpatrick intercepted nine passes during his days in Tuscaloosa – including six in the 2016 season.

Starring for the Tide from 2015-17, Fitzpatrick won two national championships, was a two-time consensus All-American and won the Jim Thorpe Award.

Throttling Southern Miss, 49-7, on September 21, No. 2 Alabama hosts Ole Miss on Saturday (3:30PM ET, CBS).
