Former Florida defensive back Jaydon Hill will spend his final year of eligibility at a new SEC destination.

According to Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports, Hill committed to Texas A&M and new head coach Mike Elko Saturday evening. Hill was a member of the 2019 recruiting class under Dan Mullen and was a key contributor in the secondary this past season.

Originally a 4-star cornerback out of Alabama, Hill saw his first extensive playing time in the 2020 season with 7 pass breakups, finishing second on the Gators in that category. Unfortunately, Hill would miss all of the 2021 season after a season-ending injury prior to the start of the season.

Hill bounced back in 2022 while logging 9 straight starts and tying for the team lead with 2 interceptions and adding a pair of pass breakups and a fumble recovery. This past season, Hill started 11 games and appeared in 12 while setting career-high marks in tackles, tackles for loss and sacks to go with 4 pass breakups.

Hill heads to the Aggies with career numbers of 88 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. He provides Elko with a veteran defender heading into the 2024 season.
