Former Florida and LSU defensive lineman Jalen Lee has announced his next transfer destination.

The former Gator and Tiger will head west and join the UNLV Rebels. The defender will reunite with his former coach, Dan Mullen, who recruited Lee to Florida. Mullen took the UNLV job this offseason after spending the previous 3 seasons out of coaching.

“Finishing how I started,” said Lee in his official announcement post, referencing his reunion with Mullen.

Lee spent the first 3 seasons of his college career, including a redshirt year, at Florida. The lineman played in 25 games and collected 19 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 1 sack during his time as a Gator.

Ahead of the 2023 season, Lee transferred to LSU. Lee played in 11 games over 2 years and collected 2 tackles and 1 fumble recovery, failing to secure a role on a deep defensive front in Baton Rouge. Now, Lee will head to Las Vegas with 1 final season of eligibility.

Before college, Lee starred for Live Oak High School in Watson, LA. The 247Sports Composite ranking had Lee rated as a 4-star prospect, the No. 37 DT, and the No. 15 prospect out of Louisiana for the 2020 class. Lee chose Mullen and Florida over offers from Alabama, Georgia, Houston, and others.

Lee is now the 16th player to commit to Mullen’s Rebels in the transfer portal. The class is headlined by former Michigan quarterback Alex Orji and former Virginia QB Anthony Colandrea. The Rebels are looking to get back to the Mountain West Championship Game in 2025.
