Shortly after the loss to Kentucky on Saturday night, Florida RB Adarius Lemons announced his intentions to transfer from the program.
On Monday, coach Dan Mullen said the Gators wished him the best and would “sign the release to let him go wherever he wants to go.”
On Tuesday, Lemons tweeted that he doesn’t plan on going far. In fact, he said, he plans to stay in the SEC:
Just know I’m staying in the SEC ??

Obviously, that presents some interesting options for him. Is this out of spite? If so, it would seem that SEC East teams would be the ones he is eyeing.
Lemons, who is currently a sophomore, was a 3-star recruit out of high school, per the 247Sports composite. He held offers from Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Mizzou, South Carolina and Tennessee before committing to the Gators.
