According to WSB-TV, former University of Georgia offensive lineman Dyshon Sims was arrested Wednesday night in Athens.
Just after 5 PM ET, Sims was arrested at a local Walmart on shoplifting charges. Police say that Sims is accused of trying to take $80 worth of items without paying.
Sims was apparently at a self-checkout counter and scanned only some of his items correctly. A loss prevention officer at Walmart caught him and awaited the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, who took Sims to jail without incident.
Sims played at Georgia from 2014-2017 and was a member of the Bulldogs’ epic College Football Playoff run that ended at the hands of Alabama in overtime last season. He appeared in 11 games and made four starts for the Bulldogs in 2017 after playing in all 13 games as a junior.
