Former Georgia OC Brian Schottenheimer expected to land Seahawks OC job

Former Georgia offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer apparently will soon have a new job.
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll recently called Schottenheimer and offered him the team’s vacant offensive coordinator job, according to NFL Network and NFL.com national insider Ian Rapoport.
The two parties are apparently working on a deal, and it is expected to get done, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reported.
“This was their (Seattle’s) top choice, offering now before other teams got involved,” Rapoport reported on Twitter.
Schottenheimer served as Georgia’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2015 under then-head coach Mark Richt.
Well-respected among NFL teams, Schottenheimer has spent the past two seasons as the Indianapolis Colts’ quarterbacks coach. He was previously an offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams from 2012 to 2014 and the New York Jets from 2006 to 2011.
