Former Georgia offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was reportedly arrested during a recent stop in Georgia.
According to Baldwin County Sherriff’s Office documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the former Bulldog and most recently a member of the Baltimore Ravens was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Milledgeville, Georgia last week. Cleveland allegedly blew a BAC nearly double the legal limit during the stop.
Cleveland was pulled over around 10:25 pm on Feb. 12 after swerving on the road. Police officers wrote that Cleveland nearly steered his truck into a ditch prior to being pulled over.
After being stopped, Cleveland admitted to consuming multiple beers at a nearby country club. Documents indicated Cleveland failed one field sobriety test and blew a BAC of .178 when a Breathalyzer was administered. The legal BAC limit is .08.
A second Breathalyzer was administered upon Cleveland being taken to a nearby jail, and that test registered a BAC of .161. He was charged with citations of DUI/Alcohol and failure to maintain lane.
Cleveland was a 4-star composite lineman out of Stephens (Ga.) County High School in Georgia’s 2016 recruiting class, the first year for Kirby Smart in Athens. He became a 3rd-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has appeared in 54 games for the Ravens across 4 NFL seasons.
