It wasn’t long ago that former Georgia running back Sony Michel was one of the first players off the draft board. Now, he’s among the cuts for the Miami Dolphins, something that was announced Monday as teams prepare to trim their rosters down to 53 players.
Michel, who played his rookie season back in 2018, has now spent time with the New England Patriots (three seasons) and the Los Angeles Rams (one season) as he looks for his next destination. This preseason, he carried the ball nine times for 13 yards and one touchdown.
He finished out his college career with Georgia as a heralded player, recording 591 carries for 3,638 yards with 33 touchdowns.
