Former University of Kentucky standout linebacker Avery Williamson has found a new home in the NFL, according to reports. After working out for the Denver Broncos Tuesday in Denver, Williamson inked a deal as a practice squad player, according to Ari Meirov, an NFL reporter for Pro Football Focus.
Meirov tweeted the news about Williamson’s practice squad deal:
#Broncos have signed veteran LB Avery Williamson to their practice squad after he worked out for them today. Denver has dealt with some ILB injuries.

Williamson, 29, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He has played in 94 career games across seven seasons in the league.
The inside linebacker has recorded 607 tackles (29 for loss) and 15.5 sacks as a professional with the Titans, Jets and Steelers.
