Former Kentucky star Lynn Bowden Jr. suffers injury during Dolphins-Falcons joint practice
Former Kentucky WR/QB Lynn Bowden Jr. was injured at practice on Thursday ahead of the preseason game between his Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons.
Bowden reportedly went up for a contested catch and landed awkwardly on his right leg in a 7-on-7 drill.
Reporter Cameron Wolfe has the details:
Lynn Bowden was helped off the field slowly with trainers here at Dolphins-Falcons joint practice after making a tough catch over the middle on 7-on-7 and immediately went down then he started grabbing the back of his right leg. He’s headed toward the locker room now.

Bowden Jr. is 1 of 3 former SEC wide receivers on the team, as the Dolphins selected former Alabama star Jaylen Waddle in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Ex-Alabama WR Robert Foster is also on the roster.
Bowden Jr. was chosen by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2020 NFL Draft in the third round.
The quarterback-turned-receiver had 211 yards receiving in 2020 during his rookie year after being traded to Miami.
