Former LSU OL Marcus Dumervil has announced that he will play for Maryland next season.
The now former Tiger will have two years of eligibility left after spending three seasons with LSU as he starts his career with Terrapins.
The 6’5″ 306 pound lineman is a former 4-star and was rated as the No. 111 prospect in the 2020 class according to 247Sports. He was also the No. 11 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 17 player in the state of Florida.
Dumervil was with the Tigers for 3 seasons. He played in just 1 game during the 2020 season, which does not count against his eligibility. He made 10 appearances last season and 5 during 2022.
Maryland had a solid 7-5 season and seems to be on the rise. The former Tiger is bound to make an impact for the Terrapins.
The Tigers had a decent season after losing their first game of the season. Now, LSU will have to manage Purdue in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Jan. 2.
