Former LSU defensive star Devin White has signed with the Houston Texans shortly after he was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles.
White was with the Eagles on a 1-year deal after he had spent the previous 5 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. White has yet to see action so far this season, as he was inactive for the Eagles’ first 4 games of the 2024 season.

White will be far from the only former LSU Tiger on the Houston Texans defense, with cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and defensive end Danielle Hunter also in the fold for the AFC South team, so White will be re-joining some familiar faces.
White took the field in 75 games for the Buccaneers after being selected by the team with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, tallying 566 tackles, 40 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, 64 quarterback hits, 21 passes defended, 3 interceptions and 6 forced fumbles.
It will be interesting to watch what kind of impact White could have with a change of scenery with a team that currently sits at 5-2 on the season on top of the division.
The Texans will play their next game when they face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in NRG Stadium.
