Don’t say NFL players don’t care about rankings.
When Odell Beckham Jr., a former standout wide receiver at LSU, found out he was ranked No. 10 on the NFL Top 100 list (voted on by the players), he took it personally.
The New York Giants star posted a video on his Instagram page of him heading to the gym at 3 a.m.:
He says in the video that “They don’t want it like I want it,” and that he’s “gotta have it.”
As far as receivers, only Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 4) and former Alabama star Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons (No. 8) rank higher than Beckham.
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski checks in at No. 9, one spot ahead of Beckham, who caught 96 passes for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton, who won a national championship with Auburn, earned the No. 1 spot on the list.
