The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) are going to be without one of their main targets when they face the Miami Dolphins (0-2) tonight.

Hours before kickoff, the Jaguars announced that former LSU wide receiver DJ Chark will miss the Thursday Night Football contest due to a chest/back injury.

Chark was practicing in a limited capacity during this week, according to Sporting News.

The 6-foot-4, 198-pound Chark has amassed 7 receptions, 109 yards, and a touchdown this season. Chark is coming off a breakthrough 2019 season in which he totaled 73 receptions, 1,008 yards, and 8 touchdowns.

The Jaguars selected Chark with the 61st pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Chark finished with 66 receptions, 1,340 yards, and 6 touchdowns during his time at LSU.

Whenever Chark returns, it’ll be interesting for LSU fans to witness the emerging chemistry between himself and quarterback Gardner Minshew.
