Former LSU standout Justin Jefferson is turning heads as a rookie wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings. Just 7 games into his first NFL season, Jefferson already has 31 receptions for 563 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The former Tiger is gaining a lot of new fans, including one of the greatest athletes of all time. Vikings beat reporter Chris Tomasson shared Wednesday that Michael Jordan likes what he has seen from Jefferson.

Tomasson relayed a message from former Viking Ahmad Rashad, who watches sports with his pal MJ.

“He said that kid’s got a lot of talent. He certainly is impressed,” Rashad shared.

For most athletes, having Jordan as a fan would be considered the ultimate bragging rights. Jefferson, however, made just about everyone feel old with his reaction to Rashad’s statement.

“It’s a great honor. … My dad loves him. … It’s an honor to hear that from him,” Jefferson said, per Tomasson.

Jefferson and the Vikings are in action next against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. MJ will presumably be watching.
