Former Missouri tight end Messiah Swinson has found his new home.

Swinson, a Class of 2018 recruit for the Tigers, entered the transfer portal in late November amid a string of entries. The tight end spent less than 10 days in the portal before announcing Tuesday he’s heading west to play for Arizona State.

Swinson played in all 12 games of the 2021 season for the Tigers. He caught 5 passes for 46 yards.  For his career, Swinson has been credited with 7 catches for 84 yards. Because of the NCAA-instituted eligibility freeze, he’ll still have 2 years of eligibility remaining with the Sun Devils.

A former 3-star recruit, Swinson is a Glen Head, New York native. The 6-foot-8 pass-catcher was the 10th-ranked prospect in his state coming out of high school, the 42nd-ranked tight end recruit, and the 867th player overall in his class, per the 247Sports Composite.
