Former Mizzou safety Tyree Gillespie was released by the Tennessee Titans as a part of final roster spot cuts. He was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders 13 days before being released.
Tyree Gillespie has been let go by the #Titans, source said. A late arrival in a trade and safety spots got crowded toward the end of camp.

In his rookie season with Las Vegas in 2021, Gillespie accounted for 8 tackles in 11 games. Las Vegas selected him in the fourth round (143rd overall pick) in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Gillespie was a 3-year starter at Missouri from 2018-to-2020 as he accumulated 146 total tackles, 100 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 12 pass breakups, and one interception.
As a result of Tennessee cutting Gillespie, Las Vegas will not receive a seventh-round compensation pick. Las Vegas would have received the compensation pick if Gillespie made the regular 53-man roster.
