There is a perception that the best football is played in the SEC. From a statistical standpoint, there’s even more tangible evidence.

There are currently 362 former SEC players on NFL rosters. This is a national record — which broke the previous one (also held by the SEC) of 355 players in 2015.
The LSU Tigers lead the league with 46 former players on NFL rosters, followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide (42), the Florida Gators (38) and the Georgia Bulldogs (37).
In each of the past 10 seasons, the SEC has also had the most NFL Draft selections of any conference.
Suffice it to say, but if a high school prospect wants to play on the professional level, signing with a SEC school seems like a good idea.
