The SEC is often perceived as the most talented conference in the country.
In most years, there are more players drafted from this league than any other. Within the last decade, the SEC has also done brilliantly when it comes to winning National Championship titles. The conference has won eight titles since 2006.
Another indication for the domination occurs when it comes to Pro Bowl selections hailing from the SEC.
In the 2017 installment, Alabama has more former players in the All-Star game (6) than any program. This is quite a testament to Nick Saban’s ability to cultivate and develop top high school talent.

The SEC did exceptionally well overall — as it had 25 members represented in the game:
Alabama (6): WR Julio Jones, WR Amari Cooper, LB Dont’a Hightower, LB CJ Mosley, DB HaHa Clinton-Dix, DB Landon Collins
Florida (4): CB Janoris Jenkins, DB Reggie Nelson, OL Maurkice Pouncey, TE Jordan Reed
Georgia (3): DT Geno Atkins, LB Thomas Davis, WR A.J. Green
Texas A&M (3): DE Michael Bennett (Big 12), WR Mike Evans, OLB Von Miller (Big 12)
LSU (2): WR Odell Beckham, DB Patrick Peterson
Mississippi State (2): QB Dak Prescott, DT Fletcher Cox
Tennessee (2): DB Eric Berry, WR Cordarelle Patterson
Arkansas (1): OT Jason Peters
South Carolina (1): DE/OLB Jadeveon Clowney
Vanderbilt (1): CB Casey Heyward
Each team has 44 members. Of the 86-man group, nearly a third (29-percent) hail from the SEC. In other words…this conference has proven the ability to mold talent exceptionally well.
