A fourth-round draft back out of South Carolina in 2014, Ellington suffered the injury in a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers a few days ago. He was placed on the injury reserve, and won’t be eligible to return until 2017.
Ellington accrued 19 catches for 215 yards during his first two years in the Bay Area.
