Former Tennessee cornerback and current Detroit Lion Emmanuel Moseley was activated off the physically unavailable list Tuesday and will be eligible for the Lions season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news Tuesday.
Moseley played just 5 games last season before suffering a torn ACL that sidelined him the rest of the year. Before his injury last season, Moseley recorded 22 tackles and an interception. Moseley joined the Lions earlier this year after spending his first 5 seasons in San Fransisco.
After the initial ACL surgery, Moseley underwent another procedure in the offseason, which caused him to miss some of fall camp, but he has now been cleared to play.
Now with the season just a few weeks away, Moseley will likely get the chance to make an impact for Detroit.
Moseley spent 4 seasons at Tennessee from 2014 to 2017. In his time with the Vols, he racked up 109 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions.
