Latavious Brini, one of the top defensive back prospects in the country, has narrowed his list to a lucky dozen. Of the 12 schools listed in Brini’s Top 12 (he noted the schools are in no particular order), four are from the SEC: Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi State.
Brini announced the news via Twitter Thursday evening:

Rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Brini also holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri and Ole Miss among several others. During his junior season at Mater Academy Charter in Hialeah, Fla., Brini recorded 55 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries and 2 touchdowns.
As receivers continue to get larger and faster, bigger and more physical corners are needed for a defense to excel at the college level. Brini fits that mold well and looks to bring a toughness to the defensive backfield rarely seen from the cornerback position. Watch the first play of his highlight reel to see for yourself:
