The Auburn Tigers received good news on Saturday when four-star defensive back Malcolm Askew committed to play for the school.

According to 247sports.com, the announcement came at Auburn’s Big Cat recruiting event:
Malcolm Askew always planned to take things slow and not announce a commitment until late in the recruiting cycle.
But during a visit to Auburn that began Monday and concluded this weekend, the 4-star defensive back from McCalla (Ala.) McAdory came to the conclusion he didn’t want to wait any longer.
Askew committed to the Tigers on Saturday, becoming the sixth member of the recruiting class.
With Askew, Auburn’s 2017 recruiting class received a big boost:
With Askew’s commitment, Auburn moved up from No. 39 to No. 30 in the recruiting team rankings.

Askew is the No. 10 player in Alabama for 2017 according to the 247Sports rankings.
