Defensive tackle Akial Byers listed his top five colleges Friday, and three are found in the SEC.
Byers, a four-star prospect as rated by 247Sports’ composite rankings, is listed as the No. 13 defensive tackle for the class of 2017. Alabama, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are the SEC programs that make his list. Ohio State and Oklahoma also are included.
Interestingly, Byers is a 6-foot-4, 275-pounder from Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Razorbacks are nowhere to be found among his five preferences.
